Wow!
I thought the gutters were doing what they were supposed to do. After all, if you don't clean them for two years, leaves will collect. Leaves hold water. Water freezes and turns into ice. A lot of ice. Ice continues to build on itself until it's too heavy and breaks, or until it melts.
Tony and I are renters, so when the water started to leak between the windows and the storm windows, we called our landlord....who decided to immediately go to the most complicated, expensive, and risky solution for getting rid of ice in the gutters. They REMOVED the gutters, before they tried to remove the ice build up.
We no longer have ice filled gutters, no, now we have no gutters at all. I'm amazed. I'm amused...
